Rubellite

Every shade of pink in one pile.

Pink tourmaline, also known as rubellite, belongs to the tourmaline group, specifically elbaite, a mineral prized for its range and depth of color and for its crystal formations. It forms in metamorphic and igneous rocks, and its pinkish-red hue makes it a much-loved gemstone.

Found in
Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nigeria and the United States (California and Maine)

A stone of protection, grounding and love.

In crystal tradition, pink tourmaline is revered for emotional balance and serenity and for kindling passion and vitality. Its energy of unconditional love is said to open the heart to give and receive and to spark creativity in every part of life. It is considered an aphrodisiac stone that attracts love in both the material and spiritual worlds, and a protective stone that opens you to healing energies.

In crystal energy work it is associated with the root, sacral and heart chakras. It is said to protect all the chakras and to activate and align the heart chakra, harmonizing heart and mind.

Tourmaline is pyroelectric: it builds an electrical charge when pressed or when its temperature changes. Alchemists were fascinated by this and likened it to the fabled philosopher’s stone. Through history it was believed to bring enlightenment to those who held it, carried as a talisman against all dangers, and credited with lending creative energy to artists, authors and actors.

Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
