Each generator is polished to a high shine, yet pyrite keeps its natural character: rather than a sharp point, every piece shows the raw texture of the stone, with sparkling pockets breaking through the gold. Heights vary from piece to piece, so yours will be one of a kind, a treasure for crystal lovers and collectors alike.

Fool's Gold
Named for fire, mistaken for gold.
Pyrite takes its name from the Greek pyr, "fire," and its golden gleam earned it the nickname Fool's Gold. Revered by many ancient civilizations, it has a curious link to the real thing: dig a little further in a pyrite mine and you will often find actual gold, and some pyrite holds a quarter of a percent of gold or more.

A stone of good fortune, prosperity and passion.
For thousands of years, pyrite has been believed to attract wealth and prosperity. One old belief held that a well-cleansed piece, kept in the pocket and touched by no one but its owner, would bring abundance and luck. It is also said to support diplomacy, ease despair, inadequacy, servitude and feelings of inferiority, and encourage a positive outlook.
Pyrite is said to symbolize divine masculine energy and the burning fire of passion held in the Sacral and Solar Plexus chakras, energy believed to fuel all kinds of sacred creation, including abundance and prosperity. In crystal energy work, it is associated with the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown chakras.
Through the ages, crystals have been collected and prized for their beauty, their rich history and their potential spiritual and metaphysical properties. We love the idea that crystals may hold mystical properties, though nothing we sell comes with a mystical guarantee.
