Tridacna is the whitest stone in the world and a very rare gemstone that has been used in Buddhist relics. This is a clamshell that has a glossy pearl luster with pure white color. Tridacna clams produce large white pearls which are highly valuable because of their rarity. The largest pearl is known as the Pearl of Lao Tzu or the Pearl of Allah and it weighed 6.4 kilograms and was found by a diver from the Philippines in 1934.
