The stone
A rainbow of natural hues.
Multicolor fluorite is calcium fluoride in a remarkable range of natural colors: colorless, green, blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, black and brown. Rainbow fluorite, one variation, shows distinct bands of vibrant color. It is too soft to wear as a gemstone, and it reveals its full splendor when shaped into wands, points and generators like this one.

Brazil, China, Europe and Mexico
Keeping its colors bright
Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight; all fluorite can fade, though some colors fade more slowly than others.
Fluorite is a soft stone, so set it down gently.
Said to hold rainbows.
Chinese artisans have carved fluorite into vessels for centuries, and folklore held that it housed rainbows, a sense of tranquility amid life's challenges. Worn as a protective amulet, it was believed to harmonize and connect the realms of magic and humanity.
In crystal tradition, multicolor fluorite is the crystal of balance, harmony and spiritual awakening, said to support spiritual growth, expanded consciousness, intuition, inner exploration and connection with higher realms. It is believed to act as an energetic shield against negative energies and psychic attacks, purifying the aura and bringing emotional stability, and to stimulate mental clarity, focus, concentration and decision-making, organizing thoughts and bringing order to chaos. Its many colors link it with balancing all the chakras.
Through the ages, crystals have been collected and prized for their beauty, their rich history and their potential spiritual and metaphysical properties. We love the idea that crystals may hold mystical properties, though nothing we sell comes with a mystical guarantee.
