Princess Blue
Every sphere wears its own veins.
Sodalite's rich blue, mottled with white veins and patches, earned it the nickname "Princess Blue," a stone fit for royalty. It can also show shades of grey, yellow, green or pink, and under ultraviolet light it glows a vivid orange.
A sodium-rich tectosilicate mineral, it forms where silica-rich fluids meet existing rock, building a cage-like inner structure. Sodalite was discovered in Greenland in 1811 and won wide popularity after large deposits were found in Ontario, Canada, in 1891.
A stone of intuition, logic and communication.
In crystal tradition, sodalite is said to enhance intuition, mental clarity and communication, supporting spiritual growth and self-expression. It is believed to support logical thinking, rational decisions and intellectual pursuits, and to bring emotional balance and harmony, helping release old patterns and fears while fostering self-acceptance, confidence and inner peace.
It is linked with the throat chakra and is said to help you communicate clearly and speak your truth with confidence. A sphere's symmetrical shape is believed to send a high, positive energy out equally in every direction.
Some metaphysical traditions tie sodalite to Atlantis, where priests and priestesses are said to have revered it for spiritual insight, intuition and psychic ability, used it to reach the Akashic records, the mystical library of knowledge, and relied on it to keep the lost city in harmony and balance.
Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
