Chevron amethyst

Dream amethyst is a variety of amethyst, the purple form of quartz. It grows through the same geological processes as other amethyst, mainly in igneous rocks and quartz veins.
As growth conditions shift while the crystal forms, it lays down alternating layers of amethyst and white quartz, creating the banding that gives each sphere its look.
