A smoky world you can hold.

Three polished smoky quartz spheres side by side, each with its own shade of brown and inner veils

In the light

Soft smoky veils, glowing from within.

Smoky quartz ranges from light tan to nearly black, and every sphere holds its own mix of clear windows, misty veils and flashes of rainbow.

Its color forms over millions of years, as natural radiation meets traces of aluminum inside the quartz. Several spheres are shown here so you can see how they vary; you receive one.

A crystal of grounding, protection and release.

In crystal tradition, smoky quartz is believed to absorb and transmute negative energy, bringing grounding, emotional stability and clarity of thought. It is linked with the Root Chakra and with feelings of security, self-confidence and a deep connection to nature.

A sphere is thought to send its energy out evenly in every direction, a favorite shape for meditation and sacred spaces.

Smoky quartz has a long story, too. In 12th-century China, flat panes of it were used to make the first sunglasses, and in Scotland it has been cherished since the time of the Druids. Its old name, Morion, comes from the Latin for a dark precious stone.

Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.
