These rocks are believed to have been carried from Canada by glaciers, enticing adventurous individuals to venture out into snowy weather, armed with UV lights, in search of these radiant treasures gleaming even from beneath the snow.
WHAT IS YOOPERLITE? Yooperlite is a branded type of stone called syenite rock, renowned for its abundance of fluorescent sodalite. This intriguing rock has the remarkable ability to emit a luminous glow under certain lighting conditions, such as when exposed to a blacklight. Yooperlite is characterized by its grey hue adorned with captivating patterns of black, rust, and white. The name "Yoopers" originates from the local community's distinctive and colloquial identity.
WHERE IT'S FOUND? Yooperlite was found in Lake Superior in Canada, and can also be found in the U.S.A.
